Data sources
IP0 data sources: DB-IP, proxycheck, Tor CollecTor, and Feodo
IP0 puts observations from several public sources into one report and keeps the source name, record time, and query status visible. A planned source is not a promise that every report will return successfully.

Sources and use
| Source | Used to observe | If it fails |
|---|---|---|
| DB-IP Lite City / ASN | Country or region, ASN (network operator number), and network organization context | Shows source failure or no data |
| proxycheck.io | Public proxy, VPN, Tor, and residential-proxy signals | Shows unconfigured, timed out, or failed |
| Tor CollecTor | Public Tor exit-node snapshots | Marks unavailable snapshot or no data |
| Feodo Recommended | Public malware and abuse-related list observations | Lists the actual lists queried; no hit is not universal safety |

Honest report states
- Each report distinguishes successful, failed, timed-out, unconfigured, and uncovered sources.
- When sources disagree, the report keeps the difference and explains its coverage instead of forcing one answer.
- A source plan and the IP0 query time are separate. If an upstream record time is missing, it is shown as “not provided by source”.
